A journal app with no streaks, for people who quit journaling

Why journaling apps get abandoned

A streak counter, a daily reminder and an empty page each day all say the same thing: you owe this app an entry. Skip a few days and the guilt arrives before the writing does. Signet takes the opposite position, which is that most days do not deserve an entry.

What Signet does instead

• No reminders. The app does not send notifications.
• No streak counter. The only counts you see are cumulative, such as how many moments you have kept this year.
• A moment is small. One photo, one sentence, or both. At least one is needed, and then you press a seal on it.
• The seal is the decision. Choosing a seal means saying this one is worth keeping. There are 75 seals to start, in seven groups.

Looking back

Moments appear in a collection grouped by year and month. A Year page shows twelve monthly seals that light up as months fill. You can unroll the year as a vertical scroll image that you can save or share. See the year scroll guide.

Cost

Signet is free, with no subscription, no ads and no in-app purchases. All 75 seals, the seven mounting formats, custom seals and the year scroll are included.
