In the Chinese tradition, a painting or calligraphy isn't finished until it's mounted and sealed. Signet brings that solemnity to your life: every seal you press is a personal confirmation — "I vouch for this moment."

Where do Signet's 75 seals come from?
75 built-in seals: where an inscription has a source we say so, and the rest are new work in the old manner. What leisure and solar-term seals are
- Seven collections: Milestones, Moods, Places, Leisure seals, "Seen" seals, Heavenly Stems & Earthly Branches, and the 24 Solar Terms
- Leisure seal texts are drawn from Han dynasty auspicious phrases and classical favorites: "Enduring Joy," "Never-ending," "Having Seen the Vast Sea," "Cherish Each Inch of Time," "Quiet Delight"
- A film watched, a book finished — press the "Seen" seal, echoing the tradition of collectors' marks on artworks
- Carve your own seal: your name, a pen name, or a studio name for your spiritual corner. One to four characters, red or white text, shape, border, ink color — all yours to choose. Add a colophon to record why you carved it
- Opening seal and corner seal: two seals per moment, placed diagonally in the traditional composition
How is mounting different from a filter?
Photos mounted on xuan paper cards, with a colophon area for one line and a Chinese-format date.
Seven mounting formats: original ratio, square, vertical scroll, horizontal, wide margin, circular, and full-bleed. The stamping itself is tactile — drag to position, pinch to resize, rotate with two fingers. The seal lands with a sound, and the ink bleeds into the paper.
What is the year-end scroll?
Monthly seal albums compile into a year-end horizontal scroll.
Through the year it's a quiet visualization of compound meaning — you can see how much was worth keeping. At year's end, unroll the scroll: a header with the year, monthly mounted panels, and a colophon at the tail. One long image, ready to share.

Everything you seal — photos, text, dates, stamps, inscriptions — lives exclusively on your device. Sharing is an outcome, never the purpose: private by default, shared only when you choose, moment by moment. No feed, no likes.

Is Signet free?
Yes. All 75 seals, every mounting format, and the year-end scroll are included at no cost. No subscription, no ads.
Do I need to know Chinese culture to use it?
Not at all. The seals and mounting are beautiful on their own. But if you know the traditions — colophons, seal compositions, Han dynasty phrases — you'll find layers of meaning that reward a closer look.
How is this different from a photo album or journal?
A journal asks you to record every day. Signet asks you to record almost nothing — only the moments you'd press a seal to. The scarcity is the point. What you keep becomes more meaningful because you kept so little.
Can I create my own seals?
Yes. Carve a custom seal with 1–4 characters. Pick red or white text, shape, border style, and ink color. You can even add a colophon — a short inscription noting why you carved it.
