A private photo journal: no account, no ads, no subscription

What stays on your phone

• Moments are stored in a local database on your iPhone. A photo is copied into the app as a JPEG, so it does not depend on the original in your photo library.
• There is no account and no sign-up.
• Your photos, text and seal inscriptions are not uploaded.
• There are no ads, and no advertising identifier is used.

What is not included

• No cloud sync. Per Signet's privacy policy, your content exists on your device and in your own iCloud device backups.
• No replacement for your photo library. Signet keeps chosen moments, not everything.
• No end-to-end encrypted journal service. If you need synced, encrypted journaling across devices, look at the comparison page.

What does go over the network

• Anonymous usage statistics. Two anonymous analytics channels, on by default, can be switched off separately in Settings. They report events, not your photos or text.
• Weather, only if you ask. If you turn on the weather caption for a moment, Signet looks up the current weather with Apple WeatherKit.

Sharing is your choice

A moment becomes an image only when you export it. You choose whether the time, place and weather appear on it, and all three are off by default. See the sharing guide.
